About

Executive Pastry Chef and Owner- Chelsea Dickerson loved cooking as a young girl while being in the kitchen with her grandmother. After high school she went to culinary school where she graduated with a degree in Culinary Science. She fell in love with pastry arts after being forced into that position when the pastry chef quit at one of her first jobs. That establishment ended up giving her the position of Head Pastry Chef after seeing the passion she had and loving what she brought to the table. She has been doing pastry ever since. She has been a Pastry Chef The Fearrington House a North Carolina's only AAA Diamond,  Five diamond restaurant(at the time), Lead Pastry Chef at Pinehurst Resort a famous golf resort during the US Open in 2014 and Executive Pastry Chef at City Kitchen one of the most popular fine dining restaurants in Chapel Hill. Since she never got the chance to make many cakes at these jobs, in 2011 she decided to start making them from her apartment kitchen for friends and family on her down time. She basically had to teach herself the fundamentals of cake decorating but quickly caught on and fell in love. It was a completely different creativity outlet that she had never experienced before. In 2016, she decided she wanted to do this full time and started her own business. She is now here to be your Personal Pastry Chef. Working out of a commercial kitchen and producing 50+ wedding cakes, 100+ specialty cakes, and 1000s of other desserts a year she has quickly made the business a huge success.
